Historic Seattle Wedding Venue Opens in Capitol Hill: a new chapter for the Ballroom
For generations, the ballrooms inside Seattle's historic Oddfellows Building have been places where people gathered to celebrate life's most meaningful moments. In 2026, that tradition continues as Reverie Ballroom officially opens bookings for weddings, private events, holiday parties, performances, and celebrations.
Many Seattle dancers know the space from its previous chapter as Century Ballroom, a beloved home for social dancing in the Pacific Northwest. Now, under the stewardship of Wilder Ventures, the venue is embracing a new vision: preserving the magic of the dance community while opening its doors to couples, organizations, and event hosts looking for a glamorous and magical setting.
As Interim CEO Hallie Kuperman explains:
"Some of you may remember one of the reasons that Alison and I decided not to re-sign our Century Ballroom lease was we prioritized teaching class and social dancing before renting the space out. I think we made it abundantly clear that for these beautiful spaces to remain in the dance community, a slight shift was going to have to happen."

A Historic Wedding Venue in the Heart of Seattle
Located on Capitol Hill, Reverie Ballroom offers a rare combination of historic elegance and modern flexibility. The venue features two beautifully restored event spaces: The Grand Ballroom and The Emerald.
With soaring ceilings, romantic lighting, vintage architectural details, and newly installed sprung maple dance floors, the ballrooms provide a stunning backdrop for weddings, galas, holiday parties, corporate events, and celebrations of every kind.
The Oddfellows Building has served as a gathering place for Seattle artists, dancers, performers, and dreamers for more than 120 years. Reverie's restoration honors that legacy while preparing the space for the next generation of celebrations.
